How do I book with Camp ONEder?

Booking with us couldn’t be easier! You can sign up on the website using the booking form once you’ve decided on the date and time you would like. Please email us at info@camponeder.com for any queries. 

What payment options do you take?

We only accept payments online via our booking system. You can either pay via credit/debit card (Visa/Mastercard/American Express)

What if I wish to cancel my booking?

Check out our Booking Terms & Conditions, which explain our cancellation policy and any charges. Contact our friendly Customer Experience Team at info@camponeder.com who will be able to assist.

Can I pay in instalments?

We currently do not have an option to pay in instalments. Payment must be made in full at the time of booking. 

What do I receive from Camp ONEder once I have placed a booking?

You will receive a confirmation email within an hour. Please review your confirmation carefully and promptly notify us if there are any inaccuracies. The person who made the booking is responsible for all booking details. If you do not receive your confirmation via email, please check your junk/spam folders before contacting us, as occasionally it may end up there. You’ll find all the information you need for camp in our Parent Info section, however for any queries feel free to drop us an email at info@camponeder.com

Do you accept Tax-Free Childcare?

Currently, we are unable to accept tax-free childcare at our camp. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We are continuously reviewing our payment options and may consider accepting these forms of childcare support in the future. Please check this page for updates on our accepted payment methods.

Do you accept Childcare Vouchers?

Currently, we are unable to accept childcare vouchers as forms of payment at our camp. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. We are continuously reviewing our payment options and may consider accepting these forms of childcare support in the future. Please check with us periodically for updates on our accepted payment methods.

What are the arrival and collection times?

We offer a variety of options for you to choose from. 

Our full day runs from 9:00am – 3:00pm. We have a flexible time for drop off if you select this option from 8:50am – 9:10am. 

If you require additional care for your child you have the option of dropping them from 8:00am – 9:00am for an extra charge (£5).

You can also collect your child at 5:00pm for an extra charge (£10).  

Our half day runs from 9:00am – 12:30pm. This option also offers a flexible drop off time as above. 

What happens when I drop my child off?

When you arrive at the school, please follow signs to drop off your child. You will be met by a friendly staff member to sign in and welcome your child.

What if I am delayed in collecting my child?

We understand that sometimes circumstances may happen outside of your control and this may cause you to be late collecting your child. 

Please give us a call as soon as you know that you may be late so that we know. 

If you are later than 15 minutes after your collection time, then we reserve the right to charge £5 for up to 30 minutes after this point. If you are later than 30 minutes then we reserve the right to charge £1 for every minute late. This is to cover the cost of our staff that are required to stay. Don’t worry though, your child will be kept safe and entertained until you arrive.

It’s my child’s first time, what can we expect?

At Camp ONEder, we understand that it can be exciting and nerve-wracking for children attending for the first time. Rest assured, our experienced staff are trained to make your child’s camp experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Here’s what you can expect:

We understand that it may be your child’s first time attending camp, and we are committed to making it a positive and memorable experience. Rest assured, your child will be in good hands, and we are here to ensure they have a safe, fun, and fulfilling time at camp!

Do you provide lunch and snacks?

Unfortunately at this time we are unable to provide snacks or lunch for our campers.

If your child is attending a full day, please send them in with two snacks and a packed lunch. Please ensure this is nut free & healthy,

If your child is attending a half day, please send them in with one nut free, healthy snack.

What does my child need to bring to camp?

Your child will need to bring the following items to camp with them in a named rucksack:-

  • Water bottle 
  • Snacks and lunch (as per their programme requirements)
  • Sun Cream
  • Sun Hat
  • Change of Clothes 
  • Any Medication
Is there anything to do or complete before arriving at camp?

Please make sure you have secured your child’s place by making your payment before arriving at the camp. Our team will then send you further instructions around booking details closer to the time of camp.

Do you accept children who are not toilet trained

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept children who are not toilet trained. To attend camp ONEder, each child must be fully toilet trained and out of nappies/pull-ups

How do I contact camp?

Please email us at info@camponeder.com for any queries in advance of the camp. On camp days, you will be given a direct telephone number to call us should you have any urgent queries/messages to deliver about your child.  

What should I do if my child has left their belongings at camp?

Our staff will do their best to return any named items to children during the day. Any remaining lost property will be kept at the drop off/pick up point everyday for you to check. Please ensure anything sent with your child to camp is named as this makes it is easier for us to identify and return belongings. 

However, please be aware that we are unable to return items once the camp has concluded. Any unclaimed lost property at the end of each camp will be donated to charity.

Will my child need any money with them at camp?

No, we strongly recommend that children do not bring any money with them to the camp. We cannot be held responsible for any lost money. 

Can I find out how my child’s day is going?

You will have an opportunity to ask any questions about your child’s day at collection time. During the day our staff are focused on giving all their attention to your child and won’t be available to give any information. 

Can we visit Camp before my child starts?

Unfortunately this will not be possible at this time.

Will Camp ONEder be open to children over 8?

We are gradually looking into accommodating and planning for children aged 8-11. 

My child needs extra support, can they still attend camp?

Please contact us to discuss your child’s individual needs. We are committed to working with you to come up with a plan that ensures your child has a positive and enjoyable experience at camp ONEder and we will do our best to accommodate this where it is possible.

If I have feedback/ complaint/concern, who do I contact?

We greatly appreciate feedback and our students are our priority. Please use the contact number or email provided, and we will respond to you as soon as possible.

 

How will my child be grouped?

Your child will be grouped by their age and programme they are booked in for. 

For our full day campers, we group our children by age (4-6 year olds and 7&8 year olds). Our half day programme will be a mixed age group of 4-8 year olds. These groups may be split down into smaller groups further depending on the number of children. We have a maximum of 24 children per group and our staff to child ratios are as follows are 1:8 for all under 8s.

Can my child be grouped in the same group as a particular friend?

We will make an effort to place your child in the same group as their friends whenever possible, please drop us an email info@camponeder.com

In the event we cannot accommodate for this, we promise that Camp ONEder is an excellent opportunity to make new friends. Our staff members will actively encourage social interaction and foster a friendly and inclusive environment where children can form new connections and have a positive social experience. We strive to create a welcoming atmosphere where all campers can feel included and have the opportunity to build new friendships.

Will my child always be in the same group?

If your child is attending the same programme (full day or half-day) for the full week, it is likely that they will stay with the same group. We will always ensure that the groups remain the same for the course of each day.

What if my child is ill and cannot come to camp?

Unfortunately we will be unable to provide a refund if your child is unwell and unable to attend the camp. 

Do you have first aiders on site?

Yes we will have a trained first aider on site. 

What if my child has a specific medical condition or medication that is required whilst at camp?

We will administer this accordingly, and notify you if required. 

What happens if my child has an accident or becomes ill whilst at camp?

While we maintain high safety standards, accidents can unfortunately happen at times. Our staff are trained in protocols for managing and reporting accidents, and we always have a trained paediatric first aider on-site who can provide necessary first aid. In case of a minor accident, the first aider will assess the child’s injuries and provide appropriate treatment. An Accident Report Form will be completed, detailing the accident, injuries, and treatment, and it will be shown to the person who collects the child at pick up. We will communicate the details of the incident and ask the parent or carer to acknowledge our communication by signing the Accident Report Form.

Are all the activities included or do I have to pay extra for some?

All activities are included within the camp price. The activities your child will partake in will depend on which timings your child attends Camp ONEder. Please see our sample timetables for our full-day and half-day for further information. 

How do you adapt activities for kids of different ages?

Although the activities might be similar for the different ages, the expectations and the what the child produces will differ. Challenges will be accessible to all the children, in order to support a higher order of thinking.

Can I see my child’s activity programme?

The activity program for your child may differ depending on the day your child attends the camp. A sample timetable is available for you to view under ‘Our Programme’ on our website.

Which Information has been used to develop your lesson plans to teach Emotional Intelligence? 

Our educational lead has been teaching and supporting children with their emotional well being for many years, using a range of resources, and applying various strategies. 

Our lesson plans are created based on a lot of research and application of this research within the area. The skills and techniques we are using have had proven positive results in mindset and behaviour.

What is the structure of the day?

Depending on what time options you have selected for your child the structure of the day will vary. Please see ‘‘Our Programmes’ tab for a look at our sample timetable.  

How do you manage behavior?

There is a behavior management policy, and qualified teachers to implement positive behavior.

Are you going to teach them Islamic knowledge?

Camp ONEder’s key aim is to build love for Allah (SWT) and faith in Him, our purpose is to teach our campers that Allah (SWT) is in everything we do from the mundane to the extraordinary. Emotional Intelligence is a core part of this. We are not a madressa setting and do not teach any rulings or historical information.
